Project RESET
Redirecting immune, lipid and metabolic drivers of early cardiovascular diseases
With the prevalence of sudden, unexpected heart attacks among working-age individuals in Singapore and globally, Project RESET aims to address the pressing issue of cardiovascular disease by focusing on early detection and prevention. The "missing millions," emphasises the need to assess disease risk in individuals who may consider themselves healthy but are on trajectories leading to cardiovascular diseases.
Project RESET has four main themes. The assumption underlying these themes include the association of lipid, immune, and metabolic factors with early cardiovascular disease, its sub-classification based on various phenotypes, the effectiveness of lifestyle interventions in reducing cardiovascular disease burden, and the refinement of its risk assessment through cost-effective selection of imaging, molecular, and digital lifestyle markers.

This clinical trial is registered with ClinicalTrials.gov under NCT06211868.
THEMES OF PROJECT RESET
THEME 1
Assembling a cohort

This involves gathering a cohort of 3000 individuals for comprehensive characterization in terms of cardiovascular, liver, metabolic, molecular, and digital lifestyle factors.

THEME 2
Mapping associations and trajectories

It aims to understand the clinical, molecular, and digital lifestyle associations, trajectories, and outcomes related to early cardiovascular disease.
THEME 3
Discovering new targets and validation
Through reverse translation approaches, the project seeks to identify new targets in early cardiovascular disease and validate the causal mechanism using both mouse and human cell platforms.
THEME 4
Conducting a Lifestyle Intervention RCT
It plans to conduct a randomized controlled trial of a digitally supported lifestyle intervention, incorporating behavioral, implementation, and economic evaluations.
